The Surgeon: Last Train to Paradise characters

Hmmm...last time I take influence for a fake Doctor Who story from a Blue Monkey Minecraft Song.

...Never thought I'd say that when I woke up this morning.

Anyway, yes, The Surgeon. The odd Sonic-version-of-The-Doctor-that-might-fit-into-Sonic-Boom's-lore-given-the-chance. Yes. And I began to dream up a story or two that I could write for my Fanfiction.net account. It's either that or another fic of killing Amy Rose in interesting and unnecessarily painful ways. And I don't fucking want to do that.

Anyway, the story is like this: somewhere, in the near future, there is a planet, one considered so beautiful, efficient and resource-saturated that it's officially called "Paradise". However, Paradise is said to be just a legend, one that can only be reached by a magical train known only as the HyperTrack, rumoured to ride around on thin air and the power of dreams itself. Poncy. Only one problem: anyone who rides this mystical train is said to vanish, never to be seen again. Naturally, this interests the Surgeon and he decides, along with his companion Janic, to board this fabled train and see what exactly is up. I won't REALLY spoil it, but maybe a hint. Again, I'm only two chapters into The Reborn and I intend to do about 8 or 9, so this won't even be in writing stages for some time.

Characters, from left to right:

The Surgeon: The main protagonist, a Time Lord from Gallifrey who jumped to another universe to escape the ever-looming Time War, adapting to standard Mobian form in the process. Currently in his 9th Incarnation and having only just regenerated a few days before the story, the stress of universe jumping has extended his Regeneration Sickness somewhat and has left him muddled and unable to focus much in the early chapters. Don't worry, he gets better. He too owns a Sonic Screwdriver and a TARDIS, though his is an earlier model stuck in it's default form and has just as many, if not more, problems than the main TARDIS.

Janic Needlemouse: The Surgeon's companion. As I stated last time I drew her, she's an alternate version of Sonic that managed to absorb some Time Lord energy (how, I'm not exactly sure yet) and used it to..."sort of" regenerate when shot point blank with a laser rifle. Beyond that she is your average Mobian (maybe. I'm not totally sure what SEGA calls the characters as a whole), with no real Time Lord qualities. Also as stated, she is still as brash and cocky as she used to be, but is more calmer, slower and more likely to stand back and think about her actions before doing them. She also owns a spare key to the TARDIS, lodged in one of her shoe soles.

The Ringmaster: An unknown being that keeps his face hidden in shadow at all times. Not much is known about him other that he drives the coveted HyperTrack and sometimes leaves it in auto mode to entertain it's passengers. Completely button-centric, he wears a button bowtie with button kneepads and wields a cane with a button for it's handle. Why? No-one knows. He acts unknowingly at the missing passengers from travels past and something about him confuses The muddled Surgeon...

Tetra Tomboy: I told you I'd find a use for Tetra. _{Reminds me, I gotta draw some SonFrost artwork, because why not?} Here, she is the main "mechanic" of the HyperTrack, keeping the coal-driven thing running to the fullest of it's abilities and the mixture of the coal fumes and whatever else is put in and belched out has had a poor effect on her lungs, driving The Surgeon to attempt to find a cure for her ailment before it overcomes her. She is also insistent that Sonic the Hedgehog is her boyfriend, though no-one on the train is fooled apart from two people who are interested in knowing the truth; Detective Valeria Stinger and The Surgeon once more. Perhaps the most interesting thing in her possession is a Mk 4 Sonic Spanner, a prototype device very briefly carried by the 10th Doctor before it was stolen from him, which Tetra uses to fix any part of the train that seems unfixable at first glance. She is unsure how she got hold of it.

8th Surgeon (flashback only): The Surgeon's previous incarnation seen only in flashbacks to his last adventure before his regeneration (another idea for a story: Five Nights. Try to guess what THAT'S influcenced from). Compared to his later incarnation, he is more open-minded and unstable, full of energy and yearning for incredible adventure on the seven seas (or whatever passes for seas or even water on Gallifrey). He is much more like Sonic the Hedgehog himself in that he acts almost completley on impulse, which quickly became a problem for him in his later years. It eventually came back to bite him when he rigged a building to explode and was caught in it, weakening him significantly. He then dropped off his companion by her request and was then shot down by Boomiverse Eggman, doing him in and triggering his regeneration sometime after.

Detective Valeria Stinger: A famous detective, well known for solving many cases thought unsolvable in the past. She has incredibly bright and quick-thinking, but at the same time incredibly bitter and angry towards certain people for reasons unknown. It is thought that perhaps it's from an experience with an old boyfriend. Or maybe a family member. Or maybe...something. She is the only one aboard the train to own a firearm, a custom revolver called the Longbow, which uses non-lethal ammunition designed to incapacitate a person through a large electric shock.
